![]() There restart from scratch with good ram memory. My Synology is running fine, the Plex app is. We also discovered that you have put non original ram insid the NAS and over the NAS specification, it is likely the ram module you have added that is probably faulty that corrupted the file system by generating error.Ģ- tests the ram of the NAS multiple consecutive tome with the synology assistant :ģ- probably get rid of the likely faulty kingston memory module. yep same here, i have a synology ds918+ I noticed the service had stopped randomly on my nas. So if the data are still accessible we suggest to do a backup asap on an Usb disk yes, by using copy/paste only ( the file system is corrupted and in read only right now so app can't be used).Ĭoncerning the root issue, from what we found in the log it seems to be memory related (RAM) that corrupted the file system. We have checked your logs it seems the file system is corrupted. Thank you for contacting the Synology support and showing interest in our products. So, Synology replied to my ticket stating that the filesystem is corrupted apparently because of some RAM issues: I could understand if a drive was showing a failure but I'm clueless, everything looks normal. ![]() ![]() Now the NAS refuses to let me write anything on the crashed. Therefore WD-Support refuses an exchange of the drive. status says the drive is ok (i put the drive in my PC as well and checked it with WD Data Lifeguard.same result). and IronWolf tests, both shows 0 corrupted sectors and apparently the drives are working normally.Īm I missing something? What's the best take on this? Just manually move each directory on an attached USB, hard reset the whole NAS and start from scratch? A few days ago one of my two WD Red 4 TB drives (WD40EFRX) crashed according to my DS216 Play NAS. Im currently running a memory test using Synology Assistant. All the disks are healthy, SMART is not reporting any problem. However I can access my data in the file manager. Now its beeping and the DSM is showing Volume 1 crashed. I had few power outages because some problems with my UPS. Needless to say I can't use most of the applications because there's an orange button with Repair on almost every app, I can't even install the Hyper Backup tool, the weird thing is, both disks shows a green healthy sign on both of them, I tried repairing the volume, it took half a day and then it started beeping again. The drives and the Synology itself is new (40 days old). We reccomend rescuing your data by copying the files or running a backup task." The error says that "One or more storage pools/SSD caches have crashed. As the title says I woke up tonight at 3am thanks to a weird beeping in my living room, it was my DS718+.
